Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
